With so much information, and unfortunately some misinformation, out there it can be really difficult knowing what to believe and where to start. We have been working hard over the last four years to expand and develop our Type 2 Diabetes Prevention and Management Services across Argyll and Bute HSCP. We are here to help. Diabetes Prevention Education and Management:

The Diabetes UK website has lots of information to help with understanding, preventing and managing diabetes. There is a recipe database packed with delicious recipes, a helpline if you wish to talk to someone about your diabetes, educational materials, leaflets and much, much more! MyDiabetes MyWay is an NHS Scotland website to help support people living with diabetes and their family and friends. This website can be used to access your health results and there are lots of educational materials to help with understanding and managing your diabetes. Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Weight Management:

NHS Inform have a free online 12 Week Weight Management Programme which can be accessed here.

The British Dietetic Association Food Facts website has food fact sheets on a range of health and nutrition topics from Diabetes and Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) to Healthy Eating and Carbohydrates. Access via:

We have a range of options available to support those living with, or at risk of developing, Type 2 Diabetes available in Argyll and Bute.
